What are Working Dogs?
Protection Dog Training
Denver Dog Works offer three levels of protection training for your dog. Protection classes are taught under the supervision of Robert Eckhardt, who has trained hundreds of dogs in this area over the past thirty years. Estate training is available. Our 10-week Protection Ready Program includes a trained personal protection dog.
Service Dog Training
Each and every service dog that is trained through
Denver Dog Works and Michele Forto and her team has an individualized training plan. Michele trains for
autistic, mobility, medical alert, and
psychiatric service work. In each case, the needs of the individual are met and training of each dog is specialized for their handler's specific needs. It takes approximately two years to train a service dog and takes a tremendous amount of patience, handling and work from everyone involved, including the family members of the service dog recipient.
Therapy Dog Training
Denver Dog Works offers three levels of therapy dog training suited to your your level of commitment. Our classes are geared towards the goal of training your dog for therapy work in a variety of settings; schools, nursing homes, hospitals, doctor's offices, etc.
