Canine Obedience
Denver Dog Works offers obedience classes to meet the needs of your family (and your dog of course!) All of our obedience programs are tailored to your specific requirements. We offer a free evaluation/course consultation to determine which type of program is best for you and your dog. All of our training programs are under the supervision of Robert Forto, Ph.D. We have several competent, certified trainers who can assist you in your training goals. Our obedience lessons/classes are on a flat rate pricing structure.

Note: All dogs are not eligible for group classes and there may be other limitations and restrictions which we will explain to you in your evaluation.

This is a residency program in which your pet will reside with us at our kennel for a period of 14-30 days. This is a perfect option for those traveling and planning a boarding stay for their dog.
Our puppy classes include four lessons and include the three key concepts: Information for new puppy owners, introduction to basic obedience commands and proper socialization. Classes begin the first Saturday of each month.
We offer the only Junior Handlers class in Denver. If your child is interested in getting involved in canine sports such as competition obedience, conformation (dog shows) or agility, this is the class for them.

Correcting your dog's problem behaviors is only a phone call away. Your companion needs and thrives on having the knowledge to of value in your life--we can help. Obedience training allows your companion to truly share your life with you because it gives your dog the needed boundaries that they do not have otherwise.
We offer four different obedience programs: one-on-one lessons and drop-in group classes, individual or private classes, group classes, or our most popular--Board and Train.
This class is for dogs that are aggressive or show fear-based aggression towards other dogs. These dogs may bark and lunge, growl and show their teeth, and even attack other dogs. Typically owners find that these behaviors get worse over time. This class addresses the underlying reasons for aggressive behavior—stress, fear, and feeling challenged by other dogs. This class requires a thorough evaluation performed by Dr. Robert Forto.
