Junior Handler Classes

We offer the only Junior Handlers class in Denver. If your child is interested in getting involved in canine sports such as competition obedience, conformation (dog shows) or agility, this is the class for them.

Length: 10 weeks, 1 hour per week

Class Description: Session begins with a one hour orientation (without dogs). You will need a properly fitted slip collar and a six-foot leash; both are available for purchase at orientation and during classes. You will receive written homework each week and will be evaluated on the 10th week. All dogs will graduate, receive a certificate and are invited to attend our graduation party.

Your Dog will learn how to:

Walk on a loose leash
Sit
Lie down
Come when called from 20 feet away
Stand for examination
Stay in a sitting position for a short period
Stay in a down position for a short period
Have a positive attitude about coming when called
Proper grooming
Introduction to competition obedience commands and routines

Ages: 10 - 17

Prerequisites: None

Additional Information: *We teach with positive reinforcement.

*We offer a 10% discount to junior handlers or their parents whose dog is enrolled in another one of our training programs.
