Canine Good Citizen Preparation Classes

Program Overview
The purpose of the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program is to ensure that our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community because it is trained to act mannerly in the home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. The CGC preparation class welcomes both purebred and mixed-breed dogs.

The CGC test is non-competitive. All dogs who pass all ten items of the test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Dogs are not required to perform items on the test with the precision required in formal obedience. Often, the CGC test is used as a guide for evaluating dogs for service and therapy work and for insurance reasons.

If you are interested in signing up for one of our upcoming Canine Good Citizen preparation classes at Denver Dog Works or want more information please contact Denver Dog Works.
